| Fixture findings | Full-size output without login in this test; visible warm residue around complex curls favors use on defined contours. | The subject is largely preserved; translucent background halos remain around the curls. |
| Original historical observation | Retoucher Online scores high on commercial honesty (3 free 2048×2048 unwatermarked PNGs/day without login), but its underlying segmentation model struggles with complex frizzy hair flyaways (mad_band=0.2451, bg_leak=3.424%), leaving a visible warm background halo around outer curls. | Server generates a full 2048×2048 Alpha mask (99.68% foreground recall), though outer curly hair transition bands retain noticeable semi-transparent background halos (mad_band=0.1259, SAD(k)=59.26). |
| Suitable uses · historical assessment | Hard-edged e-commerce product photos and ID/profile pictures where users need 1–3 free 2048×2048 unwatermarked PNGs without signing up | Commercial users already in the DepositPhotos / VistaPrint ecosystem who value an explicit 'automatically removed after 7 days' retention policy |
