| Fixture findings | Local processing with full-size output; complex curly-hair edges look blocky and smoothed. | The export is 2048px, but hair has blocky cuts and jagged gaps; inspect carefully for detailed cutouts. |
| Original historical observation | Constrained by lightweight client-side WebGL/WASM model capacity, complex curly hair outer edges show softer semi-transparent halos (mad_band=0.1481, SAD(k)=65.96) compared to heavy cloud models, but foreground recall reaches 99.38% at full 2048×2048 resolution. | Because segmentation runs on a heavily compressed upload and a 22KB mask upscaled to 2048px, curly hair edges appear blocky and hard-clipped (mad_band=0.1462, SAD(k)=51.1, bg_leak=0.816%). |
| Suitable uses · historical assessment | Privacy-sensitive users who require 0-byte cloud upload (100% local browser execution) and unlimited no-login 2048×2048 full-resolution exports | Simple hard-edged objects (boxes, cars, icons) needing sub-second processing where fine hair detail is not required |
